World’s largest chemical conglomerate BASF’s conference at Dhaka |

Dhaka-- (UNB) – South East Asian managing directors of world’s largest chemical conglomerate BASF began a three-day conference here yesterday (Thursday). Managing directors of BASF companies in Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, the ASEAN countries and host Bangladesh are taking part in the conference. BASF South East Asia president Dr Werner Burget is also attending the conference joined by senior executives of BASF from the region. A press release of BASF, Bangladesh, a subsidiary company of German-based BASF, Aktiengesellschaft, said the conference will have long term positive impact for the country’s growing industrial and export sectors. The annual turnover of the world’s leading multinational company is Euro 29.5 billion. It has operations in more than 170 countries and production facilities in 40 countries, including one chemical plant in Bangladesh. |
